Have issues about Pelvic Health?
Doctors Hospital’s Pelvic Health Institute can help!

Did you know that just a small percentage of weight loss from baseline can result in a greater chance of incontinence improvement? We already know that severe incontinence goes up as obesity goes up. Improvement in urinary incontinence can be a long-term benefit of weight loss. In many cases of obesity, it may be surgical weight loss. Prevalent incontinence and body mass index can be tracked together. In most cases, when you lose weight, your incontinence appears to get better. This is just one of the many benefits, alongside the other benefits of bariatric surgery we will discuss. We provide free education on a different topic each month.

Even though they are common, pelvic floor disorders should NOT be considered a normal part of aging.  In other words, if you get a little dribble every time you giggle, don’t shrug your shoulders and think, “well, it’s just part of getting older.”  No!  Pelvic floor disorders are treatable. There are medical and surgical treatment options available for all pelvic floor disorders. It’s not just a part of life you have to live with. We provide free education on a different topic each month. Come and find out why we call this “the service line of tomorrow!”
